Expeditions

Tibet has the greatest number of unclimbed mountains in the World.

It is possible for Tibet Adventure travel to organise commercial expeditions for you.

Three that we are currently promoting include:

1) Bogda Feng

This the highest peak in the Bodga Ola Range. It is an eastern sub-range of the great Tien Shan range. It is popular with Chinese mountaineers.

Mount Bogda Feng is a difficult peak as most of its slopes are in excess of 70 degrees. The permanently snow-capped summit crowns an east-west trending ridge with 7 peaks over 5000 meters; a large glacier flows by its feet.

The standard northeast ridge route is the only successful route ever to climb Mount Bodga. It is a basic snow/ice climb with an average gradient of about 60 degrees.

At the foot of Mount Bogda, the man-made "Heavenly Lake" is a great place to relax after the climb and to experience Kazakh ethnic culture.

Ski Mountaineer touring on the glacier is possible, and you could become the first team to explore this amazing wilderness should weather conditions make the climb impossible.

2)  Nyenchen Tanglha

This is a 7162 metre peak that is unclimbed

3) Namcha Barva

A difficult 7756 metre peak

4) Zangzhung La

A 6110 metre peak

Peter will arrange all necessary permits, paperwork, and take care of your transport arrangements and food within China and Tibet. Please contact him for further details regarding prices, requirements and time scales regarding the organisation of your trip.
